HeLLO and welcome. First off, I would like to thank all our charter members for the great job they are doing to get this club up and functioning. We have been getting greater turn outs at our very informative how-to workshops and meetings. Thanks to Donavan on our first print tutorial. Marc for is demo on strobist speedlights. Special thanks to, Aaron on Wedding do’s and don’ts, Barry for his B&W workflow and Cliff for his Studio Lighting Hands-On Workshop. A special thanks to all the models on our “BRING WHATCA GOT” workshop. Biggest turn out yet. Nelson and Geoff have done a great job getting this website up and running. I know we threw you to the wolves, but you’re coming out with flying colors. Many new changes are about to happen. We are trying to get more traffic directed to the website. One of the things we are still working on is how to upload assignment images to the website prior to the meetings so we can judge images for prizes. (Thanks Barry for the idea) On this note I wanted to announce a new sponsor to members of the SCPC family. Calumet Santa Ana is playing a major roll in promoting our growth. Active paid Members will receive 10% discounts on all Calumet brand products, 20% discounts on all rental equipment. They have offered to host gallery hangings for our club and monthly meetings (more on that in the future). Prizes will include a free sensor cleaning ($60 value) and passes to Calumet workshops ($95 and up value). Daniel Perez, Calumet manager, has also offered in-house studio time with rental gear included at no additional cost ($175/200 up to 6 hours) and much more. Thanks to everybody who spoke with or helped encourage Daniel Perez of Calumet Santa Ana to get involved with South County Photo Club. Adios, vaya con dios, Connie. We will miss you. Thanks for making your club a reality. We hope to make your dreams a success. Congratulation and wish you the best on your marriage. Eddie Perlas
